"IndiaPlast' takes efforts to be green"

Greater Noida/New Delhi, Mar 5 (UNI) It was unlike any other fair in the National Capital Region. The vibrant stalls of 900 exhibitors from more than 18 countries featured in ''IndiaPlast-2019'' was for a noble cause- to demonstrate the reuse of plastics and address the issue of environmental hazards posing greater risk to health than climate change."

The message of 'plastic recycling' was amplified at the fair that wind up on Monday here in Greater Noida, where exhibitors displayed units for plastics packaging, printing, mould making and recycling of plastic.

The five-day fair which was organised by Plastics Machinery Manufacturers Association of India (PMMAI) and Triune Exhibitors Pvt Ltd demonstrated blow moulding machines, extruders & extrusion lines, injection moulding machines, vacuum thermoforming machines, rotating moulding machines,packaging machines, 3D printing machines,Pre-processing and recycling machines, post processing machines, reactive or reinforced resins machines, printing and finishing machines,bag and sack making equipment and plastic welding equipment.

Talking to UNI, founder of Espoir Paper & Polymers Ashok Aggarwal said, "The idea should be to recycle the plastics instead of banning them. Blanket ban on the single use plastic will not solve any environmental related issues.

IndiaPlast has given outstanding platform to display the potential in recycling and reusing material through the means of quality products that provide more efficiency in packaging ,long lasting durability and customer contentment", Mr Aggarwal added.

The plastic fair spread over 72,000 square meter also showcased the specialties of machinery, raw materials, master batch, auxiliary equipment, mould making, additives and polymer companies.

PMMAI aims to make the Indian plastic industry a global competitor.

It has more than 350 members across the country. It's mission is to make the Indian Plastic industry stand out in terms of quality, technology, cost-effectiveness by promoting impressive machines and excellent plastic extrusion.

Plastics Machinery companies comprise nearly 70 per cent and raw material companies nearly 25 per cent of exhibition space at any plastics industry exhibition.

Exhibitors also noted that by using advance technology at their manufacturing unit they reprocess polymers. These reprocessed plastic granules are also used to replace virgin polymers.
